ISC provides a compensation package which includes (and is reported to be quite adequate for the living circumstances in China) a monthly stipend, insurance, retirement, airfare, language tutor, and housing. Please note that the cost of your outgoing expenses will not be covered by ISC's benefit's package.

Stipends
Stipend (because each school in the International Schools of China network is registered in China and not in the US, neither a W-2, nor a 1099 form is issued, therefore there is no withholding on stipends.):

	7,300 RMB (approximately $1,015 US) — Single
	12,775 RMB (app. $1,775 US) — Couples (one spouse works for ISC)
	14,600 RMB (app. $2,030 US) — Couples (both spouses work for ISC)
	1,600 RMB (app. $220 US)— per child

Airfare
Round-trip airfare is provided for all teachers and their families. The return portion can be used at the end of a Staff Member's two-year contract for his/her home country return, or it can be used for a trip home between his/her second and third year of teaching with ISC should that Staff Member elect to sign another two-year contract.

Insurance
Medical, emergency medical evacuation and life insurance is provided.

Retirement
Retirement benefits are provided to each ISC Staff Member upon that Staff Member signing a renewal contract for a second, two-year term at an ISC Member School.

Master's Degree
Teachers who stay with ISC for two years or longer and return for another two year contract have the opportunity to earn an all-expense-paid master’s degree through the ISC Indiana Wesleyan University M.Ed. program.

Student Loan Payment Help
Student Loan Payment Help: Staff Members who sign a renewable contract for a second, two-year term at an ISC Member School will be eligible for monetary help in paying back student loans in-lieu of participating in the ISC Retirement Plan.

Language Training
Language training is provided for two hours per week.

Housing
Two and three bedroom apartments are provided that include basic furnishings. In most cases, single teachers live with other singles but have their own bedroom. However, in some circumstances some singles occupy their own apartment.

Full-time Language Study
For those Staff Members who elect to remain with ISC for more than four years, one year of full-time language study is offered including a trip home during the Summer before the Staff Member rejoins the teaching team for the following school year.

Home Leave Allowance
ISC staff who are on summer home leave between two-year contracts will receive a home leave allowance equal to one month's stipend.
